The baptism went quite well today - the service itself was amusing, because it's an episcopilian (is that a word?!) church, so the service took about 2 hours, and Naomi (aged almost four) decided half-way through she'd much rather be under the pew, so Malc (my brother) and I had to contend with her peeking out at us making us laugh throughout the sermon. Then Marina (the baby being baptised, Nome's sister) decided it would be really fun to blow really loud raspberries through all the prayers.... Oh, how we tried not to laugh...
The customary after-ceremony-family-meal thingy dude was fun, because it was spread out over about 3 hours, and the kids were very bored, but they're lovely, so we got a monopoly on Naomi and Lara - always a good thing! Lara and I had a great conversation about Roald Dahl, Enid Blyton and CS Lewis. (I may have mentioned this before, but the chracaters Dick and Fanny from The Magic Faraway Tree are now called Rick and Franny! Wtf?!) And I've decided Marina's first words will be Ron Burgundy. I'm still trying to persuade Lara to say anthropomorphic personification.
Hehehe, the new serious of Big Brother has started and all of the contestants seem to have been chosen for their arrogance... I love the crazy fox-hunting Tory Derek! Oh, he amuses me!
