Yay! Girls are awesome! So, I am assuming that the next thing you'll be writing about is how you hate pink color? :)

Nah. I might have a low tolerance for "made in China girl pink" (though in my professional life I encounter many shades of pink that are quite stunning, so I'd rather not make any blanket judgements), but as far as my kid is concerned, she can decide for herself. I'll probably initially have a rather harsh policy on Satanic objects such as Barbies and Disney products of various kinds, but unless she inherits my exceptionally good taste, it will be useless to fight it. :)

In my 7-month experience, girls are awesome! And yes, it is completely possible to avoid dressing them in pink (if you filter the well-wishers enough).

yes, I am very fond of girls. Boys as well, and humans in general.
I have no objections to pink, as long as all is done in good taste.
And as far as well-wishers...as long as I stand my line with certain "products", I think we'll be fine. And anyway, I am planning to make most toys by hand anyway, so that should all be good.

What's your line with products?

My main desire for all things that a person encounters in childhood, is that they are loved. I am really horrified at the idea that a kid is surrounded by objects that are of a particular brand, and not toys that the child falls in love with and develops long lasting and rewarding relationship with on his(her) own ( ... )
