Update
Hi Everyone..
I swear, I hardly ever come over here anymore - I have been so busy with life these days, I really don't have that much free time.
LIFE STUFF
Life for me these days is beyond good, that I find it to be almost unreal. I am so happy with Chris, so thrilled about our upcoming engagement party and wedding - its really just so exciting.
* Things couldn't be better - even with this economy, we're doing great. Our business took off like crazy, and the work is consistent and good $$$. He's still at his full-time job, we have a good staff working for us. I work (though I don't have to) because I want to help too..its really all happening at just the right time for us.
* Right now we're looking at houses - and that is hard to do because we're both not sure where we want to move. Do we stay in Brooklyn or do we move to the burbs'? We have a year til we get married and some time to think about it, so that's what we're doing.
* We're also talking about when we're going to start having kids. We're in this "lets plan it out" mode - and so, we're getting everything out on the table. He's been informed that we're not having 6 kids (screw that). Three is good enough for me, and that's what we're going with.
* But all of this right now is staying at talk, because I'm still in Nursing school, and it takes its toll on me. I want to be a Nurse before I have kids. That's the plan.
* I went through this little phase of trying to grow my hair out. Went a couple of months, got it past my chin - woke up one day and thought that it made me lose my "edge" somehow and promptly chopped it all off. I'm much happier now. And I will NOT be wearing a veil at the wedding..I'm not traditional at all.

That was me, after trying on 20 different wedding dresses that day. I was S-H-O-T.
ENGAGEMENT PARTY
The engagement party is coming soon, and I'm really excited about it. We're expecting about 200 of our closest family and friends and its going to be a ball. The menu is awesome, and diverse - half American and half Puerto Rican (lil something for everyone!) - the DJ is phenomenal, the open bar even better and its going to be a good time. I cant wait. *Pictures to follow when it happens!!*
SCHOOL
School is going AWESOME. I'm seriously kicking ass, and I'm expecting another round of A's for my final grade this semester. *The lowest score Ive gotten on any exam (from any class) has been a 96. Ive done major extra credit work, written about 12 papers so far (all A's) and am proud to say: Mama is keeping her 4.0!!. I'm busting my ass so hard, and I deserve it. Part of me has had a hard time feeling proud of my accomplishments, because I "should" have some type of modesty, but fuck that noise. I've sacrificed time, my social life and being able to go out and spend quality time with Chris for all of this. I worked for this, and I'm not going to minimize its awesomeness. LOL
The first of two major exams in order to become a Nurse is happening next month. Been studying my ass off, have taken one out of three workshops so far and I'm ready to do the damn thing. I cant wait.
I think that's about it for now - I hope everyone is doing well. I read your updates when I can, but might have missed something good. So, if you got something good going on - let me know!!
