I'm furious right now... some jerk spammer is apparently using MY personal e-mail address, the one from my own domain with my full name in it, the one that I use for editors and such (and which I've stupidly listed publicly on my web site and Facebook), as the return address for tons and tons of spam, much of it with disgusting subject lines. When you reset things up, use something without your name in it as your website mailing address. Something totally nonsensical.... just have the contact me or email link. That's what I do, and we change it every six months or so. I don't give it out. If someone tries to contact me ... I tell them the website address ... and just tell them to hit the email button.

This has happened to me 3 or 4 times; ride it out. It will stop in approx. 24 hours, I assure you....

The only way it will stop (mine use my name over and over again, the last attack lasted 6 weeks) is to get those names off your web site and any public area.

The email address I use for agents/editors/friends/clients is one I never ever put on any web site, form, or blog. I use yahoo addresses for those. My original roadrunner account, which is listed on my sites, is so overloaded with spam that I've just about given up on ever using it again for anything important.
