I’m sitting in the library. It’s really cold in here. My hands are freezing. I wish I’d worn a hoodie, although that would in no way affect the temperature of my hands. I still get tripped up over affect/effect. I have checked out a lap top which is less exciting than it sounds. The internet connection is really testy and only works in really ( Read more... )

This is far too late to affect (used without hesitation) anything, but if you took that pill I feel like you'd write the most optimistic paper ever. Literary criticism would turn into literary awesome-ism.

PS don't trust Word. Never forget to use manual spellcheck.

I bought you a Christmas present today!

1. I feel like tomorrow's a likely day for me, too. Doctor's appointments I hate.

2. Your present is rainbow-y but is not a rainbow and does not have rainbows on it.

3. I have to add flour and sugar to my bread today, right?

4. I also feel like you baking cupcakes is the cutest picture ever. Something about big blue eyes and baking cute lil desserts - it makes me think about dolls and E-Z Bake Ovens. Like I feel like illustrating it. I just might. We'll see.

Your library's internet connection is likely shitty, and the library site works fast because it's on the school network and therefore internal. Booyah!

I wouldn't waste a hydrocodone on a stressful paper. Save it for a cozy night.

Word 07 is no good. 2003 all the way!! Plus 07 has weird file formats that no one likes.

Also, one more thing: HOLY FUCKING SHIT PEROGATIVE IS ACTUALLY SPELLED PREROGATIVE I HAD NO DAMN CLUE I HAVE BEEN SPELLING IT WRONG ALL THESE YEARS. I'm surprised you never called me out on it back in the LJ heyday of 2004/2005. I miss those days.

hahaha. i miss those days too.

also, i later discovered that after i'd gotten a false sense of security (somewhat) with word 07, i forgot to change the file type when i saved the files. so i got home to a bunch of .docX shit i couldn't open. i freaked out, then went somewhere with 07 and fixed it. but it was not pretty.

If you want to not have to worry about converting stuff for your own computer, allow me to recommend the Office 2007 compatibility patch. If you install it on your computer, you'll be able to open .docx with no ill effects. Just so you know.

i know i'm all late, but yeah, i agree with andrea. the library would turn into the best place ever if you took that pill. literary perfection.

the other day, someone at work corrected me on affect/effect. i'm no better off for it. i still sort of want to stab my eye.

how was your stand-up? did someone get you started?

don't even get me started! i shared that video with my 2 bffs from that class and now it's the best inside joke ever. we cracked ourselves up in history class tonight. so, thanks for making that happen.

there will be many library hours to come, so i just may do that. i happen to have misplaced my ID, so i am currently unable to check out books. humph.
