I tried applying for that in college. Most agencies want people with like 5+ years of baby-watchin' skillz (apparently summer camp doesn't count), and a lot of them who board nannies want nannies with master's degrees. WHATEVER.
This summer we should nanny in New Bedford for Portugese families. Oooooh exotic. :)
I did some crazy research last night in lieu of studying for my advertising final.
Here's what I found out... -american's can't au pair in england, but in most other european countries -most nanny agencies that i found want three years of experience (and some DO count camp counseling as experience if it's more than a certain number of hours per week) -they recommend having college experience, but most families are flexible and want young women as opposed to farty old maids
I also found out that there is this family in France with two boys and they vacation yearly in Switzerland and have a home in Corsica and I want to WORK FOR THEM SO BAD!!
