I'm very happy about JM's answer to your Spike/Fred question! I know it's hard to get much information in those autograph sessions beyond a sentence or two, because you feel as if you're holding up the line. But that's the first time I've heard that he thought a Spike/Fred pairing was SUPPOSED to happen. Always before, it was just "I wish it would have happened", as though he thought the scripts were hinting at it but then learned that he'd misunderstood. I'm going to try to e-mail some of the Mutant Enemy writers from that time and ask them if they actually had considered making a Spike/Fred romance at some
