A rough night for Democrats...

So I've been watching the tv non-stop.. Hoping we were going to fight this thing in Ohio and still take the Presidency... And Kerry just conceded. Bush for another fucking four years...

Just for the record, I really take offense to the "Haha you voted for a loser" comments I've been receiving. Unlike you, I busted my ass for my candidate. I did ( Read more... )

Alison-

You and I had our differences for one night. The only reason I voted for what I did was because of my religion. Sure that is one thing, but you know that's my base.

All I can say is wow... I know you have put in a lot of work and many people are proud of you, as am I. This was a huge expierence for our generation. I hope everyone took it in and followed their values, morals, and did what they felt was right.

If anything for me this election made my college expierence better. I met alot of kids while going door to door and picketing. Shook the Presidents hand. It's something I will never forget.

The great division is in the United States. That division is simply what instigate an attack. Working as one we will get farther. Differences will be there, but we must respect our leaders. Just as you may disagree with your family at times, but you still must respect them for they are your family...your roots.

God Bless America and God Bless Alison

Yes, Chris.. I know we disagree on that issue we discussed, and that is fine. Disagreements are healthy. And you stand by that issue for a purpose.. Not just because someone told you that you had to ( ... )

I am just responding to some of your comments you made about the election. First of all, I will just say that I am a Republican, and I understand that you do not like comments of "haha you voted for a loser" but more than likely, it was just a joke. Also, you made the comment that you worked your ass off for this campaign to get Kerry to win -- congrats for all your hard work. However, I don't like how you say "Unlike you" Pretty sure that no one forced you to volunteer so much of your time so why should you make me feel lesser because I didn't volunteer for Bush's campaign ( ... )

Ok. Let me first start out and answer this post with this.. When I wrote this, I had just found out Kerry had conceded. I was upset, emotional, and vented it out to my journal. As I commonly do. This is MY journal, with MY thoughts. No one forces you to read it or comment on it. And I wrote what I wrote b/c it was my emotions at the time ( ... )

It is commonly known and claimed by BOTH parties that in fact, George W. has been the worst environmental president. One example that I can give you is this... When Clinton was in office, they discovered that the waste major companies were emptying into the water was affecting the fish. People who ate fish on a regular basis (studies were done on the East coast I believe) had between 3-5 times more mercury levels in their body than normal. This has led to severe problems with women's health including an increase in miscarriages. Clinton passed a law stating the companies had 5 years to clean it up completely. Bush overturned that law ( ... )
