Get in the Christmas spirit...

So I, of all people, have a reason to have a "Bah-humbug" attitude this holiday season. However, I have almost the opposite. I think it's going to be hard for everyone in my family this Christmas, and I'm desperately trying to make up for it with more gifts than I can afford, elaborate decorations at the home, and extra time spent with everyone.

how anyone could say that to your mom, or to any strangers is beyond me. she is the sweetest lady and i think her response proved it. if there was a battle of words to be won, i'm pretty sure she took the gold.

i'm glad you are able to find it within yourself to enjoy this season. parts might be awkward but live and learn and above all LOVE.

merry christmas... i think that's the first, no wait, second merry christmas i've shouted out. this cute little boy at work tonight was leaving with his mom and he turned around and looked at me and yelled "merry christmas!" it was so cute, he sort of reminded me of tiny tim :)

It still gets under my skin, the fact that the conversation with that woman ever happened.. And it bothers me that I had to resort to her level and use the same language in front of my mother. But it was clear she wasn't going to react to anything kind or calm I had to say. As my mom said, "She seemed more upset by me apologizing than by you fighting back with her."

I wish we could all be like little kids.. So energetic and happy and carefree this time of year. Trying to be soooo good so they can maybe get that extra barbie or tonka truck.

I wish the very best to you and your family this holiday.. I am sure the excitement of the little one on the way will take over, and your family will have an amazing experience together.
