Old Fashioned Play

On 25th September, there was a play about the ancient story of Bulgaria and it was in a forest area so everything turned out great and the audience loved it, but I forgot to post pictures. Those were the traditional outfits to all girls 500 years ago. :)

I know nothing about Bulgarian history or folklore...what is the story about?

It sort of connected with another European countries. It starts with two people (a famous soldier and an ordinary girl) getting married and then there is a celebration, but suddenly a soldier comes up and informs tha king that the entire country has been attacked with thousands being killed and now this city was the only one that hasn't been attacked. The wedding is canceled, as survivors began to arrive and they're wounded. They share their stories with the king and then smokes appear in the sky, indicating that the attackers are close. There is a pray just before the King's army head to the battlefield. The soldier, who just got married is forced to leave his loved one and there is emotional scene of their separation. Later on, a few hurt soldiers come back and iinform all the people that everyone is dead and all they can do is to wait for their death to come. The girl is devastated and can't stop their tears, but everybody (strangers and families unite) and take their last stand before the another army appearse. Meanwhile, a man in ( ... )

Well, yeah, that's what really happened. The man died in the battle and the girl was sent to slavery. Sad ending. The first photo is the final one.

I wish I could have seen a video...to experience the music and dancing and to hear your language in action. all of those things are of interest to me. And BTW the "narrator" in the cloak reminds me of Nekozawa-senpai from Ouran HSHC...LOL

Oh, my god, he really looks like him! I had almost forgot you like other languages. I think I may be able to get you a video or the whole thing, but I'm not sure. I was pretty enchanted by the music and the nature all around the stage created an awesome atmosphere.
