DEGUSTATION REVIEW: Aka food porn, just in case you're interested.

Lately me and t8_steve have been desperate to expand our culinary horizons and so we've been scoping for other degustations to try. Though truly we are the most amateur of food critics since I am a firmly grounded believer in the "Stuff your face until its like a chipmunk" eating ( Read more... )

BECAUSE THIS FOOD IS GOING IN. MY. BELLY.

And Masterchef is an evil scion sent to scour this earth with worthless cooking related reality television, full of sick ingrates who waste precious time I could otherwise spend not puking into my own accumulated bucket of master chef inspired vomit.

Strong words?

Season that with some salt for your wounds. *rubs*

oh man, i've always always wanted to try a degustation - more for the idea, than the food, maybe? the whole take your time and savour it approach is the one i prefer the most (if i have to be on a permanent diet to lose weight, i will damn well enjoy what i actually get to stick in my mouth) and this is taking it to extreme XD

everything just looks so yummy *_* i'm sure it's worth every cent, but i really don't have enough money to indulge in food like this yet. when i'm employed again, maybe? :/

(you hate masterchef? can i ask why?)

It worth it to save your money, grab a VERY good friend whom you can talk with for 4 hours and experience something. I'm a firm believer in gathering as much experiences as possible in my short human lifespan. No point living if you can't get the most out of life etc.

... Arleh right, my hate for Masterchef is completely irrational. I love food, and I like Iron Chef, I just... dont like that show, it occupies so much of my tv space, and on top of that, it takes up time from that 7-8pm slot that I've booked her to do other things and she just sits there like ZOMBIE. It's a crazy irrational hate so don't take me too seriously about it there's really no basis for it. I have watched quite a few shows with complete apathy *shrug*, just don't see whats so special about it.

Actually, I went to a degustation at Dome once, which was good, but when we left, we went straight to MacDonalds we were so hungry.

This one left you absolutely full after coming out. Your ass was sore, but generally the aura was one of sheer delight. They pace it well, and I generally eat in large quantities, and am REALLY REALLY notable for being tight with money and I can say, this was well worth the money I paid, everything was a piece of art, and really delicious art. There weren't dishes that were fragrant air or anything gimicky, just good food.
