makes me wish three things:
a)that I were more interesting.
b)that I were less totally traumatized by world events

but that's the american way.
the reason bitches are touting ethanol is because the price of corn is way down. and what better way to boost the american farmland economy than to do something like try to turn corn into fuel? I mean, if they could find a way to do it that didn't involve so much processing that it negated the benefits, that would be great...but whatever.
and the media has never and will never report the things you actually NEED to know. that kind of stuff you have to figure out for yourself because most ppl would rather not know than understand the real state of affairs and have their petty lives disrupted.

which is clearly a country devoid of real culture but the things that happen here are generally the case with most capitalist societies.. not just america. we have it a lot better than most other countries and we will not be hit nearly as hard (at least as quickly) by peak oil problems as europe and obviously third world countries. that is somewhat reassuring..

also, scary stuff about the european officials who were recipients of oil vouchers from sadaam hussein.. if that doesnt scream peak oil and corruption i dont know what does.
