I THOUGHT THE SAME THING! I mean, if he's now Sigan + Merlin, then he is CERTAINLY powerful enough to conjure a new crystal heart!! But maybe I am just paranoid conspiracy theorist, IDK.
Merlin is so freaking powerful he may not be able to be posessed. Just like he may not be able to die.
The most logical explanation for his ongoing happy-go-lucky attitude is that there's nothing out there that can damage him directly. Damage those he cares about, yes. Damage him, no.
I assumed that Merlin had gotten the crystal heart from Gaius and hidden it on his person when he went out to face Sigan; since it had already contained the magician's soul once, it was an ideal vessel for it. The spell might have helped him push the intruding soul out of his body into the crystal.
I do wonder if he has gained anything from the momentary possession--knowledge/power that belonged to Sigan?
Also, "sigan" does not mean "raven", and ravens do not scream, they croak. [/obligatory bird-obsessed commentary]
This. I was sitting here going "You have a word that sounds a heck of a lot like the German word for 'victory,' and it's supposed to mean 'raven'?" Why did they do that? Just because it sounds cool?
Oh, I didn't make that connection--sigan/sieg! Good call, and baffling, yes. But it is not wise to question linguistic matters too closely.... *rolls eyes*
I thought it was like a battle of wills between the two inside Merlin. Sigan trying to posess him, but Merlins mind and power not letting him. Especailly as he had added DragonPower!
Also, i though Gaius had it, but Merlin went to see him before he ran out to save Arthur so maybe he got it then?
And i agree barechested!Arthur is far too distracting! How were we meant to concentrate?
I'm glad I'm not the only one that got ridiculously excited at the thought of Merlin being a bit dark and evil for awhile while possessed by Sigan >_> That smile he gave Gaius before revealing the crystal gave me wonderful shivers *___*
