You know what's worse? Knowing that you might have been able to stop it from happening. Which is why I think it's better just to not think about it.

Sorry, it's not your fault, I've been brooding a lot lately about pretty much the same things. I'm half Skrull and half Kree and I'm supposed to be this big grand saviour who'd unite the two and bring peace. If I'd gone back with the Skrulls to take my responsibilities as prince this invasion never would have happened. I thought I made the right decision, but maybe I was just being selfish and all that suffering was because of me.

You're not half Skrull and half Kree. People aren't capable of being reduced to an origin story or whatever. You're you, and just because some day someone randomly shows up and says hey, you're a prince! doesn't make you a prince.

So if you made the decision to be who you are, it was the right one.
