History of Magic is a fake class anyway, and Snape has pretty much made sure that if you're not a prodigy or a Slytherin, you're not going to be in good shape to pass, anyway.

Well, I never did do anything in History of Magic except sleep, so that's my own fault anyway, I suppose. The other two... well. I guess if you're going to go down, you might as well go out with fireworks. Next year'll be easier, I hope.

...I think it would help quite a bit, actually.
