Still loving this series :D The pacing is excellent, and the characters are very true to the originals - I can actually believe it's them, rather than having to fill in little bits and blindly ignore others as one has to do in fanfiction (and sometimes canon) to maintain the illusion.

Suddenly, Charlie’s face turned upward, his expression angry and posture rigid. His fingers tightened over the book’s spine and he stood, hurling it across the room. It smacked against the wall and slid face-open down onto the floor, pages bending under its weight in a way that looked almost painful. ”It’s not fair!” Charlie yelled at the book. “It’s not fair that you all go and leave this for me to take care of!” He slumped back down next to Hatter and buried his face in his hands. -- Oh poor Charlie needs a hug right now.

One of the greatest things about Charlie is that even though he puts so much pressure on himself, he still manages to be so cheerful and silly. It just makes it that much more poignant when he breaks down. :( But not to worry, he'll bounce back!
