[Lazarus is inside of the hospital today, dressed for doctor's work and sitting at a table in an office. He's had a long day, if the dark circles and stifled yawn are anything to go by, but he seems happy enough none the less. Perhaps excited, even. He smiles warmly at the screen, in a gesture of greeting, and then speaks with a bright and cheerful sounding voice.]
Hello, citizens of Aliunde! My name is Lazarus Segal, and I am a doctor over at our fine hospital and a fairly new resident. And I was thinking that you might help me with a project I've considered undertaking recently. It's not necessary at all to assist me, so please do not feel obligated to do so, but perhaps... perhaps it would be to the benefit of all of us.
[The view shifts to a pile of pages, different stores and maps and things piled up barely organized on top of some very odd looking medical texts. Some pictures are there as well, and a large lettered page that has Welcome to Aliunde at the top of it in thick black ink.]
When we arrive here, it is a terrible shock to most of us. A violation of our safety, security, and our rights. And without question an understandably unsettling experience, how could it not be? And when we need answers and information, we are rarely given enough of it. So perhaps...
[And he settles the device once more so the view is on himself.]
Perhaps we should list our resources, and what we can offer as a way of helping those who are in need. I've written up a small essay already for the new arrivals. Something that might bring some comfort, at least within the realm of what answered questions can give. And I wish to know what you would have liked to have known upon your arrival to this world. What would have benefited you most to know. If I know these things, I'll be far more capable of helping those in need. And those who have businesses and ways to aid those who need the help, please let me know if you'd like to be listed in the resources. [He beams, and nods. It's almost more of a bow than that, a very humble gestures.] Thank you for even considering this, and listening. And if any of you need anything from me, please, do not hesitate to ask.
