That's right! I looked all around the city and there wasn't a shop like this anywhere so I thought it was a good idea. [His dad might be happy that he was keeping some of their Viking heritage alive.]

No it's a real fine idea. I ain't the best at leatherwork but I need some done. I was thinkin' of openin' my own shop. I work on machines, engines, an' the like. Mostly. [ Latest plans bringing in new things and all. Yep. ]

I can do whatever you'd like, just stop by when you've got time. You can share my shop until you can get one of your own. I'm close to the junkyard where they toss out all sorts of machine stuff right out back. [Jerks his thumb towards the backdoor.]

Shiny! [ Wait ... ] Really? I'm just workin' out of my apartment but it sure would be nice to make sure right there on the spot that whatever ya make for me works perfectly with the bits I make. 's real important. An' I've been goin' to that junkyard a lot. I really like it. [ So much she never noticed a nearby shop under construction. Whoops. ]

[He's not sure why she said 'shiny' but oh god he may pick up on that term.] There's plenty of space here for both of us to work. [Hiccup may have gotten a place that was big for just himself.] You can come down to see whenever you'd like.

You can as soon as he's healed up. Sure is as long as you don't have a weapon. He's a little more wary of people carrying sharp things.

He's hurt? [ All right dragons are supposed to be fiction scary but that's just sad. ] Only sharp things I'd be holdin' are a knife when I'm eatin' an' tools when I work. I just make an' fix stuff. Don't use 'em myself.

Yeah but he's getting better. [Toothless is pretty fierce even when he is hurt.] That would be okay. He's getting better around people with stuff like that.
