[ With all the work Kaylee's gone through she figures she deserves to use some of that money on a drink or two. Sure she does have a batch of Mudder's Milk to figure out but that's ... more work really. Going to a bar? Now that's easy. The place she comes across seems good so she heads in and back to the bar.

[ Desmond just rolls his eyes a bit but gives her a nod and a smile as he grabs another glass. ]

I didn't. [ Truth. She plops herself down on a stool, elbows resting on the bar. ] I just came in lookin' for a drink an' I found you.

Oh, good. So it's still a bit of a secret.

Good. We gotta keep some things secret. [ He raises his eyebrows. Like assassins. ]

Course we do. [ Oh she gets it all right. She's propped her head up with one hand, fingers mostly buried in her hair. Only he would see she's briefly bent one. ]

What 'bout your drinks? Not holdin' any secret are ya?

Nope. A bit against the job rules if I did. What would you like, Kaylee? I'll even offer one of my personal drinks that no one else here in Aliunde has had yet.

Now that sounds like an offer I want to take ya up on. [ She smiles brightly. Bring on the Desmond specials! ]

[ Desmond smiles and gets to work on it. He's not going to tell her name until she's tried it. Ginger ale, orange juice, grenadine and a bit of maraschino cherry. Finally he adds a bit of gin and then sticks a straw and slice of lime on the side of the cup. He places it in front of her and nods for her to drink. ]

[ She eagerly watches him work and when she finally has the drink in front of her she takes a second to just look at it - colorful! - before taking a sip. Oh she approves. ]

[ He's watching carefully, you know, to make sure she doesn't spit it out. ]
