[ Tech stuff and her partner in crime all in one spot? Kaylee's there, plopping down by Kate. Her tool bag makes a nice clunk on the floor as she crosses her legs to balance a plate of food on them. ]

[Kate glances up when she hears Kaylee's voice and gives the woman a grin.] Hey, you. What's up?

Don't tell me they don't have XBox and PlayStation in the future? [Kate makes a sound of disappointment.] You poor bastards.

Nope. [ She pretends to look sad at that. ] Well I'm poor anyway. So just what makes 'em so great?

I wouldn't say "great". But they're definitely a good time-waster. And if you've had a busy or stressful day, you could come home and unwind to some computer generated killing. [Kate gives a shrug.]

[ Hmmmm. Not how she'd unwind but interesting! ] Really? 's there anythin' like that in the pile there? [ Oooh options. ]

I think it's more for the second. Something to unwind after training. You know, aside from crying over my beating everyone. [Kate smirks.

She looks to the small pile of games, sorting through it. She snorts. Some of the games have names different from the ones back home. She reads the back of Crimson Deceased Atonement.] This one's got an old west feel to it, if it's anything like the game back home. [Hank had been playing some Red Dead Redemption and had hollered for Kate to come and see how amazing the graphics looked.]

The sound of all their cryin' ain't that relaxin'. [ Grin.

She leans over to peek at the back cover. ] Horses an' guns ... now that I know 'bout. [ Well ... horses more than guns. ] Think it might be like the one ya know?

[Kate laughs at that, grinning at her friend. She looks to the box once more.] Only one way to find out. [She pulls the disc from the case and slides it into the console and hits the power button. Hopefully it won't blow up on her.]

[ ANTICIPATION! And no explosions. Which is quite good as Kaylee's watching everything so eagerly that really would've made her leap up. ]

[Hey, will you look at that, it didn't short out on her. Maybe she did pick up a few things from Hank. The game starts up and Kate settles back down beside Kaylee. She pulls the directional guide out of the box and looks it over as the opening cinematic started. For computer generated images, they looked pretty damn real.]

[ She's not looking at anything but the screen, watching in delight. For being all fake it's really real. She could just watch this bit for some time and be fine with it. ]

[The game is pretty much the same as the one back home, which makes Kate chuckle. Maybe it's because of copyrights? Kate glances over to Kaylee with a small smirk. Ah, the look on someone's face when they are introduced to the magic of video games.]

[ If Kaylee can get the buttons down you bet she'll be sitting in the den having a go at the game on her own. Just to see the images again. She finally does move some and it's to eat a bit off her plate. ]

[As the game goes on, Kate tries to explain which button does what, in reference to the game.] And every game is different. So the buttons'll be used for different things. Which, you know, sucks when you're not a big game player and switch games and everything's different.
