[Pepper clears her throat as she begins the video broadcast, dropping her gaze from somewhere off-screen (a map she had JJ display on the large television) to her device before she speaks.]

Does anyone know how many of these monsters there are? If we had some sort of estimate it will be easier to gauge when it will be safe for everyone.

[Colette doesn't want to call via video and show either of them just how distraught she is. She has seen a lot of things, but monsters are past her mark and she is sure that even if she's safe in her apartment, most of her friends probably are not.]

Pepper? U-um... [She doesn't know what else to even say.]

Colette?! Are you somewhere safe?

[Colette turns the video on after a little while but she really doesn't want to. At least the background is answer enough. She's home and safe.]

Oui, but... what is even going on? Why is Loki doing this? I-is Charles alright?

[Pepper studies the background of Colette's video for a moment and nods. She looks safe for now.]

I do not actually know. Charles is here, he's...[She pauses. How much does Charles want others to know?] He's worried, as am I.

[She lets out a breath of relief at knowing he's alright, but she gives Pepper a small smile.]

I think we're in it for the long haul. At least there seem to be a lot of able fighters to deal with things.

Yes. I have faith in them. Do you have food? Will you be fine there?

I... not much, but some. I think I'll be fine. I'd probably be safer at one of the places everyone is gathering to, but I'm not sure I want to risk running to one.

Are you able to see outside? Are there monsters around your building?

[Colette gets up, heading over towards the window and looking out.] Two of them, and no one is fighting them right now.

[Pepper nods and licks her lips nervously.]

...Stay away from the windows, Colette, in case they attack on sight.

[Colette nods, letting go of the curtain and giving Pepper a rather worried look.]

Do you and Charles have a plan for staying safe? Is... he helping? [She's certain everyone Charles lives with knows about what he can do.]

We're not planning to leave the house unless it's necessary.

[Pepper is not sure if Charles could handle moving...]

He is helping. He's listening.

Good. I don't know what I'd do if either of you got hurt.

Do you want me to come to your apartment? I can bring you back here.

[She glances out and cringes a little.] We'll meet half way?
