[He's wearing the armor right now, so Tony's face is especially close up on the screen as Amelia's message appears on his HUD.] Pepper and Charles are monitoring the situation - JJ's sending them updates, call them if needed. I can plug JJ into the full network if you want though.
[There's a pause, as if JJ is saying something quietly to him. Tony glances off to the side, then looks back at Amelia's image.] You okay, kid?
If it's already covered, then, good; um, forget I said anything. Sorry, s-sir. [She closes her eyes and shudders a bit, still trying to calm herself.] No, but, i-it doesn't matter.
Hey, if it helps, here. [There's...something happening on Tony's side of the feed, but it's hard to tell what. After a moment, though, JJ's calming tones can be heard.]
Hello, Miss Wallace. Mr. Stark has patched me through to your communicator so that you may speak to me at any time.
[AIs are strangely less annoying when they sound like ladies, Tony muses. Maybe he should change JARVIS's speech software when he gets home... But no, that'd be weird.]
[Her breathing slows.] H-hi, JJ. [There's a brief pause.] Tony, thank you. Um, JJ, are you feeling well? A-are you okay with what you've been doing for everyone? [She doesn't know if Tony's AI are able to get frustrated, bored or distressed, or if JJ doesn't have emotions at all.]
[Tony's attention is elsewhere while JJ responds to Amelia.] I am fine, Miss Wallace. Mr. Stark has adequately upgraded my systems to allow greater access over the city.
Good. Good. [Focus on conversation. Stay calm.] You're extremely helpful-- [Amelia pauses abruptly. She wanted to add a polite honorific to the end of that sentence by habit, but drew a blank at that instant. There's an awkward silence for a second.] ...Thank you. You deserve some kind of reward after this. Um, what would that be? [Amelia thinks about the question. Her trembling is getting under control.]
...Many people get by without empathy. Or, um, are you two talking about recognizing facial expressions? I could maybe code a reference page for you, i-if that's the case, but Tony probably has that done already. And better.
Mr. Stark is in the process of compiling a comprehensive program that includes recognition of expression, tone, body language, and other human traits, as well as an synthesis and replication engine. You do not need to do any extra work for my sake.
Oh, but I do, that's great.
You are my creator, sir. You are obligated to do so.
Mh-hm. That's, that's amazing, Tony. I didn't think that you knew how break down true empathy into a program, s-sorry. JJ, um, JJ will be amazing. Even more than now.
[At least Amelia can feel adequate in the knowledge that she's at least polite to others. She tries to be, anyway.]
JJ, you're so comforting to talk to. Could there be a way to talk to you again without going through Tony, if, um, if you're okay with it? N-not that there's anything wrong with Tony. [Just herself, according to that 'fun' complex.]

[Tony cuts into the conversation for a second.] I distinctly remember you nagging me about that emotions analyzer the other day -
I do not nag, Mr. Stark. I merely notify you of required upgrades.

Too skilled, if that's sarcasm I'm hearing.
Of course not, sir.

Thank you, Miss Wallace. I've added separate contact information into your communicator if you wish to speak with me in the future.
