[ Someone looks unhappy, although those that know her will know it's not that rare of a look for her. She's glaring pretty hard at the screen, one hand on her hip, the other holding up the phone to begin with. Her brand's been taken (something she's not terribly upset about, mind), and they took her gunblade, too, the actual reason she's so pissed

Vanille! So they got you too, huh. What is this place? And how long is 'eventually'? [ She's at least happy to see someone she knows, a little bit. ]

Yeah, a while ago. This is Aliunde, it's a planet in a universe completely different from our own. You'll get your weapon and magic back starting two months from now! They return things gradually.

[fulminous]

Tch. Too long. We're not staying here.

We kinda have to, Lightning. We're stuck. [She rubs the back of her neck sheepishly. Lightning was not going to like to hear this.] I've been here for about a year and a half.

[fulminous]

[ You're right. She doesn't like it. ] Bullshit. We're not staying here.

A lot of people have tried to leave and failed. [She hates being a downer, but nearly two years of failed escape attempts and the head doctor toying with them leaves little room for hope. Maybe Lightning is just what she needs to knock some optimism back into her.]

[fulminous]

A lot of people tried to defy their Focus and failed. We haven't.

[Vanille bites her lip, glancing away from the screen, but she nods.] That's true. If anyone can get us out of here, it's you, Light.

[fulminous]

We make our own fate. [ She smirks. ] Some stupid doctor isn't going to keep us here forever.

[sunnyworks]

[She looks up and nods again, this time more confidently.] I'll tell you whatever you need to know about this place.

[fulminous]

[ That's more like it. ] Tell me everything you know. And where you are right now. I'll come to you.

[sunnyworks]

Oh, did anyone send you this? [She finds Kirk's info guide and sends it along to Lightning, along with directions to Vanille's apartment loft.] That's where I'm staying right now, but I can meet you anywhere in the city to talk.

[fulminous]

I'll come to you there. If we're trapped, we don't have to run. Might as well make use of what they're giving us for now.

[sunnyworks]

Okay! Take your time, I'll be here. [She'll just spend the time cleaning up stuff around the apartment.]

[fulminous]

[ It takes Lightning a little bit of time to find the place, but she does, and knocks on the door when she arrives, taking in the area outside and in. ]
