Severus thought his shop was coming along quite nicely considering the circumstances, which consisted mostly of him having to do everything the Muggle way. It did help him to both keep his mind from certain thoughts and ponder others far more deeply. In essence it really was, at least until he could officially open shop and bring in a profit, at the very basic level something for him to do. To keep him busy since he was not as actively pursuing a way home as others were. Part of him felt he should at the very least for the sake of others he had spoken with since his arrival. And for the sake of his student, Draco Malfoy. But it was a bit difficult to think about returning home when that meant a return to whatever grave he had been granted ( ... )

The look on his face when he saw her standing there was...sort of priceless. Like he'd expected her to be the last person to visit him. Which, to be honest, was...kinda sad.

Karolina turned off the lightshow, smile never ending or disappearing. "Oh, it's not like I flew through the roof." Karolina giggled. She stood there, waiting politely for him to open the door wider for her to enter. That smile, that never-ending, expectant smile of well, aren't you going to let me in, ol' buddy, ol' pal? was going to do him in. She had a feeling-- a hope-- that it would work.

She glanced past his shoulder to the interior of the shop. "Oooh. Looks nice in there. You're really coming along."

He wanted to just scowl down at her expectant smile. Mostly because it was going to force him to do something. He had to wonder what her visit was for. So far in the city if he was with another, especially in his new building, it was for a reason. But what could her reason be. It was clear she wasn't going to budge, or stop smiling, until he did something.

Of course now that she wasn't just flying off again after bothering him he sort of ... had to know why she was there. Curiosity, the eternal quest for knowledge - even if it's just things about another person - was doing him in. He could ignore it. But that would be well, boring.

"Thank you," he said, dryness still in his voice. Though he finally, finally, moved aside enough for her to slip inside. No sooner was she completely in did he close and lock the door again though. "I shall rest easier tonight knowing that my shop has your approval."

She just kept smiling. Even when that eyebrow of his arched. He moved and she slipped past him, entering the shop. "And we don't want you losing sleep. I'd hate myself if I was the cause of insomnia." Karolina took a slow turn, looking at her immediate area. Her eyes traveled over everything she could possibly hope to see.

Karolina turned to face Severus, still smiling. "It's going to be fantastic when it's finished. I can just tell." And she meant it.
