Teddy listens, sat down and keeping his attention focused on Professor Xavier. The man can read minds, or could in the future and Teddy's pretty sure he can now. So there's no need to pretend- this is what he's wanted, this was what the Young Avengers always wanted, proper training, to be taken seriously for what they could do, for what they wanted to do for people ( ... )

He may be young, but he can most certainly hear Teddy's thoughts. His eyes go straight to the young man, nodding to him. He had gotten the sense that Karolina wasn't one for fighting. Yet, she seemed so excited when he had made the offer. Charles is certain that Karolina will at least want to contribute in some manner. Even if it isn't fighting? She'll want to help them. Apparently, it is a rather large dream for young adults to want to be part of the X-Men in Teddy and Karolina's time. Charles hasn't even started the school from his point in the timeline. Least to say, it's a surprise for him.

Charles makes a gesture with his hand to show that Teddy is more than willing to speak inside his mind about any concerns or doubts he may have. It will be just a private conversation between the two of them.

He's not really worried, Professor. He's been in combat, he knows what it's like. True, he could probably do a lot, lot better with a bit of teaching, and he's really excited about it, but, it's a big but, he doesn't know how well this team will fit together, how they'll work. The Young Avengers had their fair share of arguments and fights, they were friends too, they got along. Mostly. Generally.

The trouble is... He didn't know how well they'd work together. If the others would even want to. And without the others to back them up, they were still young. In training. And from what he'd heard, Aliunde could throw up a lot of very nasty things when it got it in it's head to do so.

Teddy sighed, offering a wane little smile back at the Professor. "I'm in, whatever," He says aloud, but to make sure everyone else in the room knows. He's always wanted to be a hero. This is where he steps up to the mark.

Everyone has their moments of stress with others and when they don't get along. The point of being a team is overcoming those things. There are those that will never get along, but hopefully they can put that aside and work together as a team. Part of this meeting is to see how they interact with one another and how they get along.

"I thought you might be." Charles replies out loud.

Raven is keeping to the edges of the group, if only because that is where she's used to being in social groups. She also remembers how awkward Rogue was during their short conversations. While Raven doesn't particularly care, she's decided that it will be easier for Charles if she stays away from her fellow mutant.

The only people that she really knows are Teddy and Charles, anyway. The others can introduce themselves if they would like to get to know her. She misses her team too much to want to replace them.

Charles looks to Raven and motions for her to move forward into the group. There's no reason to be shy amongst all of them. While they may not have the X-Gene that would make them mutants or official 'X-Men', they are a team of young bodied adults who want to come together and work as a team. He'll take what he is offered in a place like this.

She shakes her head and approaches Charles after a moment. It isn't about the genes, though that does worry her to an extent.

"Are we staying inside all day?" Yes, let her pretend that is her concern.

"It all depends if people want to move outside our not." He glances at the others. If they're going to start training soon, then they'll need some sort of out door complex. It's times like this he wishes that the mansion was in Aliunde.

Karolina was having breakfast when she got the notice from the professor. A special meeting? On a Saturday? Hmm. In the time between breakfast and her having to leave for the school, Karolina wracked her brain with what he could possibly have them do. When she had about ten minutes until it was time for the meeting to start, Karolina took off into the sky, taking a shortcut. She landed on the roof of the school, then floated down to ground level. Entering the building, she made her way to the gym, seeing a row of chairs. She sat down in an empty one-- because, well, it's rude to sit on someone's lap without permission-- and folded her hands in her own lap.

She watched as the Professor Xavier spoke to their little group. X-Men. They were going to be X-Men. Victor would be flipping his lid right now if he was here. And this team wasn't about fighting people all willy nilly. It was about protecting its citizens and maybe finding a way home. Karolina was all for that. She continued to sit there, quietly. She wasn't going to be getting up ( ... )

He wanted to take the time to speak to every one in the group. Make sure that they were alright with this. He knew how each one felt by reading their minds - hearing their thoughts. Even with that, he needed to create a bond with each of them. They needed to know that they could trust him and bring anything they needed to to him. With that in mind, Charles turned his gaze to Karolina and smiled at her.

At the professor's focus on her, Karolina straightened in her seat a little, smiling back. It was exciting and scary. But she knew, that if there way anything that bothered her, she could go to the professor. And if she ever wanted out, she had that option too. For what feels like far too long, she's been without a family, a group. After being so close-knit with the Runaways, to have none of them was jarring. But there was a chance to having something...vaguely similar to that now.

"Do we get uniforms?" She asked with a small chuckle. They hadn't had uniforms in the Runaways. It was always just what they wore. Made things easier.

Charles couldn't help but chuckle at the request. His team had a uniform of sorts, but most of it was designed to help their abilities. It would be good for them to have uniforms. The hard part would be finding someone who could make them and yet would keep it a secret. His first thought was Tony, but...

"I don't see why it couldn't hurt." There was a smile on his face. "Do you have any ideas for a design?"

Rogue had the inkling of an idea why Professor Xavier wanted them to meet up that afternoon, but she kept her thoughts to herself, showing up on time and listening to what he had to say. She was glad he had decided to try and start up a new X-men team - this Xavier seemed sad, despite all her previous attempts to cheer him up. But if he was anything like the older Professor she knew, he'd be much happier with a project like training the X-men to focus his time and energy into. Rogue's powers hadn't returned to her yet, but she wouldn't hesitate to join the team. Until then she would keep out of everyone's way.

Once Xavier was done talking, Rogue looked at the rest of the people in the gym with her. She only recognized Teddy and Mystique (and boy, that was still really weird, seeing a young and possibly not evil Mystique), and she shyly stuck to the edge of the group. She was still pretty new in Aliunde, and everyone here already seemed like they knew each other.

The attempts helped more than he let show. Charles was lost in many fronts of his life. There was no way to reconcile the bond between him and Raven, simply because for her, it wasn't broken. Erik had never made an appearance in the city, so he was incapable of finding a way to come to terms with what Erik had done. Every time he walked, it reminded him of what happened in Cuba. Post-traumatic stress didn't simply go away after time. It generally required therapy, or at least entrusting the information to someone. The only person he had ever told had left Aliunde. It was little wonder he was hesitant to tell anyone else.

Charles looked over to Rogue and then gestured to the others. She should be involved with them. It was part of being a team.

Rogue knew what it was like being part of a team. She already had one. And these people, nice as they seemed, were not her team. Especially Mystique. She felt bad about feeling that way - this Mystique was younger and polite enough, and Professor X seemed to trust her, but there was still that lingering worry gnawing away in the corner of her mind that she couldn't ignore.

She couldn't exactly bring it up with Xavier, though, and she seriously hoped he wasn't reading her mind right now. Trying to cover up her previous thoughts, she quietly went over to speak with him. "Professor. Since my mutation is...gone for the time being, there's not really much I can do til it comes back." Which he obviously already knows, Rogue realizes after she says it. Not exactly her best diversionary tactics, but it would have to do.

The worry that was in Rogue's mind was certainly something he was aware of. He didn't question it nor prod farther into her mind to find out what it was. Charles had a hope that whatever was causing the worry could be sorted out between Rogue and Raven. They'd have to work together in order to get this done. Bygones be bygones and such. However, he knew he would have a rocky way of working with Erik if he were to ever arrive in Aliunde. The trust was broken between the two.

"I understand." He nodded. "Perhaps you can help me with some ideas on training exercises then?" She wasn't getting out of being part of the team if he could help it. She was a mutant, and they needed to stick together.

Well, considering he was used to going to school six days a week... (five days. Who does that?) it hadn't been as hard on him to actually head for the school on a Saturday morning. He had no idea why their sensei had decided to suddenly have a meeting with only the senior class, but he'd admit he was curious. That was why he was there, respectfully waiting for the explanation to conclude ( ... )

Rogue was doing her best to at least introduce herself to her new teammates. She'd spoken to several of them already in her brief time in Aliunde so far, but Yu and Karolina were strangers to her still. After she'd finished chatting with Charles, Rogue glanced around the room cautiously, took a deep breath to steel herself, and walked over to the quiet boy.

"Sorry, I don't think the Professor said your name." She smiled slightly, hoping to quell the nervousness curling in her stomach. It wasn't like she had anything to be afraid of here - Xavier obviously trusted everyone here and wanted them to be able to work together as a team. The least she could do was try.

Despite his quiet nature, Yu was far from being unapproachable. He almost seemed to welcome the company as he nodded a greeting. This girl didn't seem like a threat. After all, Xavier-sensei trusted her and they were probably from the same world. Odds were, she was one of the two girls he'd mentioned in the explanation.

"Yu Narukami," he responded, giving a faint smile in return. Thinking better on it, he also added, "An old friend called me Souji, if that's easier for you. I know my name can be confusing for English-speakers." After all, confusion didn't help much in a group dynamic.

"Souji. I like it." She smiled more confidently at him now, hoping he wouldn't mind her commandeering a nickname one of his friends had given him. "My name's Rogue." Offering her gloved hand for a shake, she wondered what this boy could do, if he were a mutant like she was or something else. It seemed rude to just ask, though.
