I'm so late, it's not even funny.... SORRY ;;nervetonotkillJuly 3 2012, 22:26:51 UTC
So, Greed had offered him a job, Fullmetal had not turned the offer down and now he was on his way to the bar. Tsk, bar? What the hell made him take that job anyway? First person who offered something? Someone he knew offering it? Fuck if he knew and Ed didn't actually care - except bars were the Colonel's thing and Ed tended to stay away from them. He was underage for one thing, but no one had cared about his age since he became a State Alchemist. That silver pocketwatch meant a lot in Amestris, here... Well, here it didn't mean anything, except 'is that kid insane' looks to Ed if he ever threw it onto the table like it was the thing to get everything he ever wanted.
But this job didn't sound too bad. There'd be people, that was great. He wouldn't have to get bored in his apartment, trying to think of something to do and end up sleeping because he was too tired. With luck he might even eavesdrop some conversation -- oh, of course he'd never do that. Why would anyone ever think that he'd be listen-- Yeah okay, so it was possible, but

Gabe didn't have his eye on the door. They weren't ready to open yet, they weren't due to open yet and even so, most people didn't want in as soon as the sign was flipped over. Not unless they were there to see the boss. So at that moment his attention was on the silver cocktail shaker, the one slowly turning through the air making it's way back down towards his hand

Full marks for observation said someone who has no idea of his observation skills, but Ed wasn't going to tell him about them either. It was a very common mistake, okay? "Tsk." You want more observation? That thing the stranger just used, the shaker, looked weird. Ed would have asked something about it if he hadn't been here before Winry probably used it sometimes anyway. All the 'modern' things were weird for anyone from the 1915's. "When you say here, do you mean that he's not down here --" Sleeping was Ed's thing, dammit, and if he couldn't be sleeping right now then Greed shouldn't be either, obviously. "--or that he's not here at all?" There, have some more of his good observation skills

Gabriel smirked. He wouldn't have said that was observation, just deduction, my dear Ed. But as he couldn't, for the time being, see into the little blonde's head, he couldn't well answer that way. "Greed doesn't live here, he's got his own place. But as far as I know, he's not here at all yet. Probably taking care of something." Or someone, for that matter, but that was Greed's very own business and nothing what-so-ever to do with Gabriel. Even if he did feel a little spike of jealousy at the thought, he was well above and beyond that
