Who: Everyone What: Fourth of July Celebration Where: The Winchester Homestead || Northwest side of the city When: Evening of the fourth. Rating: PG-13, let's keep it at least a little kid-friendly.
[ Denzel's not sure he entirely understands this Independence thing, but he's excited to be invited to a party all the same, and it makes a change from lessons and work. Such a busy life for such a young one. ]
[When the host with the most isn't manning the grill he's moving through the crowd with a beer in hand or cooling off in the deep end of the pool. Without a shirt on everyone can see the burn mark in the shape of a large male hand on his left upper arm and the tattoo on his chest just above his heart.
At some point he'll break out the kid-friendly fireworks and light them.
Of course when it gets dark is when the real fireworks show starts. It's nothing fancy like Disneyworld or even some countries' New Years displays but there's something about being so close that the sparks float down around you like a rain of light.]
[At some point, after being coerced to swim with Gabriel, the still damp and only-clothed-in-black-swimming-trunks angel stops Dean with a light hand on his arm.] Dean. I enjoy swimming. [He just felt Dean should know that, because he wasn't sure he would. Considering the fact that he likes rain, though, it's probably not a surprising revelation.]
[Despite her current situation, Darcy's always been a fan of fireworks and cooking out on the grill. She finally pulls out the adorablebikini she'd gotten for the Avengers' trip to the beach that never had a chance to happen. Situations arising and whatnot. To go with the not so itty bitty bikini, Darcy's got her hair up, and slightly oversized sunglasses to hide her reddened eyes.
Two days past was her twenty-fifth birthday. Nowhere near in the mood to have a sad little birthday party, Darcy decided not to celebrate. She hopes the fireworks later will help some. Darcy sips at a tall, sweating glass of lemonade, letting the sun warm her as she lounges by the pool.]
[Cas has been in and out of the pool several times. Swimming to the edge where Darcy is sitting, he pulls himself out and settles next to her.] How are you feeling?
[Darcy glances to Castiel. Angels swimming. Who woulda thunk it? Off his question, she gives a shrug.] Still pretty shitty, but I think I gotta get out of the house. I might be wearing into the hardwood floors from the doorway to the kitchen to the liquor cabinet.
Dean's worn that path before you. [When John and Sam left. He'd been tempted to organize an intervention but thankfully the hunter pulled himself out of his slump. He hopes Darcy will do the same.] Have you eaten? The burgers are awesome. [To quote Dean.]
