AliveJournal 1.5c BETA available

Try this if you want to help me out. It is an EARLY beta of the next version of AliveJournal. I am releasing this mostly because I have changed tons of stuff in the background... I put more detail about the changes in the README.

There will be further beta releases and further feature additions before an ultimate final release of 1.5c, but I ( Read more... )

BTW, I should specify that the final release of this beta will also be released as a source snapshot... I didn't want to imply that I wasn't going to be releasing the code at all anymore, I just don't want to have to do it for every beta...You can browse the repository here, but be warned, right now you can only use Opera to use this tool...

Sean, excellent work so far! I'm hitting away in 1.5c on my journal site (new LJ user here!) with no problems. I like the History functionality; I'm an editor at heart. It's all rather ironic -- to me -- in that I was chatting with a few LJ users in BeShare on the 15th about Simon Huet's LiveJournal client (which failed to work for any of us). Then a few days later your work appeared! Ah, but enough of that ( ... )

Well, it failed to work for anyone... :) So, I am glad I can help.. Spread the word; the more bug reports I receive the better... :)

Is there a way AliveJournal could retain custom window dimensions between sessions with the client? It remembers window locations (good) but not any resizing done to them (not as good).

Already on the to-do list... Shouldn't be difficult at all, but I just have to fix the settings handling a little bit so it is easier to add new settings later on...

The Cancel button in Event Editor does not do much of anything, as you're probably aware -- perhaps instead, an Undo option (to reload the entry) would be better? In any case, removing the Cancel button may be more BeOS-centric, as they are not common.

There have been quite a few non-functional buttons ( ... )
