I am still confused as to why some people are mailing me with praise thanking me for making the client work again, while others have no luck. I wish I could find the common thread for you unlucky people but I just don't see it yet... The only thing I can come up with is that it is related to the timeout stuff... Some person who had an illicit copy of BONE informed me that the client does not work under BONE at all...

is there such a beast? have them send it to you so you can work out the bugs..

The last thing I want is to be associated with some jerkoff who steals software.

I would much rather just find someone with BONE and have them recompile ALJ (as I am pretty sure that is all that needs to be done).

Remember how I asked if it might have something to do with NAT? Well in my case it still may, but my desktop, which is directly connected to RoadRunner@TampaBay (Cable Modem) still cannot connect to the LJ server... so I dunno man.

I thought it was interesting that the first 1.6 client didn't work for me, but the debug version did. Any clues as to why that might be? What's special about the debug version that could affect workability?
