This marks the second day of classes having nothing to do with presenting syllabi. All of the courses I'm taking seem fairly daunting in terms of the amount of work they will eventually entail. I felt the same way when I took Symbolic Anthro (I took it during the fall of my junior year). The spring of my sophomore year was when I really blossomed as an anthropology major--I took 3 anthro classes, one with Gable, one with Huber, and one with James. Huber and Gable's classes were required, so we covered a lot of basic material that all anthro people should know. Also, I was constantly surrounded with other anthro majors (I became friends with Lindsey and Lauren this semester). So, basically, it was like joining a cult ( ... )
