A customer came this morning to pick up her furniture, along with a couple of delivery guys that she paid.  I was standing around, watching them load their truck and every now and then, one of the guy would talk to me.  When his phone would ring, he just turns it off and continues to talk to me.  He asked about the store and I said we're moving

he was genuinely cool and it really wasn't just him who says something along that lines about me being Filipino. actually, A LOT of african-american guys who approach me would make a comment like that....specifically adding that because Filipinos are great cooks. they know Filipinos are very very warm and hospitable in general and they know how to take care of their man. then they'll add in that their friend has a filipino wife. i just laugh it off and tell them if they even get with me, it'll be the other way around because i do not know how to cook, ha!

i'm actually serious...my ex was the one who usually cook for me lol. i only stick to breakfast...it's no mad science tasks.

Dale calls me beautiful sometimes, but I don't believe me. I think he thinks he has to say to me as a man or w/e. It sounds different when a compliment comes from the heart, someone touches your cheek gently, and whispers you're beautiful while looking in your eyes, blah, blah.. and when it sounds just like "I'm sleepy" or "I'm hungry" they just blurt out "You're beautiful." Ahh, okay.

I like you too, but not just 'cause you're Filipino. lol I like you 'cause you have an awesome personality. If you didn't have that, you could be a Filipino all you wanted, still wouldn't do much for me. Hehe.

He may as well have said "I have an Asian fetish.... and I'm also a total creep." Yeesh. Strangers bringing up your nationality/ethnicity constantly in conversation usually = uncomfortable.

OMG yesssss..."yellow fever!" i don't get that! well, they only really use the filipino thing on me because i'm not very asian-like as a woman. i'm not those cute lil japanese looking girl with fragile hands with such feminine feature. i'm also not 5 feet...so there goes that lol...

actually...you just reminded me. when my boss was interviewing me (he's my age...he's a goof), he kept blurting out pacquiao! yes, i am of the same race...will you hire me now? lol!
