pain is comparitive, we can not truly empathize for someone, but we can try, so thus something that is horrible for us, might not be anything compared to someone else, but compared to our own experinces it is bad enough.

Besides, if its not your LJ/Journal whatever, I don't think telling people to quit whining is with in your authority.
