My 2009 calendar is bleak, y'all. Right now the only upcoming non-work things on it are a brief visit from Reimer and February Sucks. We must fix.

•NY ComicCon is Feb 6-8. Now, I've never been to one of these. But if you were planning to go, let me know; I will go on Sat 7 and see me some spectacle. I'm kind of an imposter because I couldn't care

Oh, tix for ComicCon are $40? Are you getting comp tix from your workplace, by any chance? I would totally go -- I've never been to a ComicCon before but I am a geek with the comic book-loving. Nowadays comics conventions (particularly the biggest one, San Diego) are half-costumed dorks and half-Hollywood publicity blitzes. Lots of highly anticipated film and TV projects debut trailers and promos there. I don't think anything big is coming up this summer, though.

I still remember my comic book convention days. I used to go and get ripped off by 50-year old men, and then get my comics signed by geeky artist types. It was fun.

When is Feb sucks? There is a bus from Charlottesville to NYC and I haven't seen you guys in a while.
