Back in business! Whew. Three weeks or so back in the city, and I'm pretty much back to normal. Trying to reacclimate myself to the Village throngs and adding schoolwork into my crowded schedule. I kinda can't wait for cold weather to kick in so at least I don't spend my days reclining in the park. This weekend was ridiculous! Sunny, warm, not a ( Read more... )

The Boy only watches two TV shows, and one is Sons of Anarchy, to my amaze/amusement. I like to think of that show as What Would Have Happened To Ryan If The Cohens Hadnt Adopted Him On The OC. I'm probably going to become way, way too obsessed with it shortly, as is my way with things of this nature.

Hey, that's a pretty good Only Show (or Almost Only Show). I feel like I'd be more worried to hear that someone watches The Office but NOT 30 Rock, or vice versa, or something like that.

Twist my arm about the fame class. I'm not so much with the coordination and the dance classes (particularly when there may be a draw for people who can actually dance), but Fame seems fun. Speaking of awesomely soapy.

Bonus: It's at the 38th St location, which means we'd be looking like fools in front of people that we'd never see at the gym again. Also: Not coordinated myself. I'm supposed to review the class, see if it's doable for mere mortals. I mean, it's based on Fame, it's gotta just be cheesy fun. Odds are good that you'll see me fall on my ass. Come on, if nothing else there'll be jazz hands, right?

Let me know if you're coming, I'll have the publicist save an extra spot. Apparently the classes do fill up (bonus: more people to hide behind!).

Ok, arm twisted. I've seen a couple classes at Crunch (through the studio windows) where I've been amazed by the dancing. Add that to a bad experience (in St Louis) in a hip hop class where EVERYONE else was an ex-dancer and you get my initial reservations. Don't fall on your ass and do bring the jazz hands, and you've got yourself a date.
