I can't help feeling "the inside is bigger than the outside" isn't the right principle for a corset...

Surely that's exactly the right concept? ;-) The person on the inside is usually bigger than the corset makes them look - e.g. my natural waist is 3 or 4 inches larger than the waist I have when wearing a corset. :-)

Sadly for nowhere near as good a purpose, but my company grew a billboard in 2008 http://www.brandrepublic.com/news/821872/Betfair-breaks-record-largest-billboard/ (though maybe it's different, I'm one of those awkward buggers who refuses to click on daily mail links).

A bit different I'm afraid - the billboard in our case is vertical for starters. :-)
