Three things I wanted that I got (get out of my mind, Sleepy Hollow!)
1 - Katrina to have a storyline. Not that I like her, I mean she's okay. But she needed to DO SOMETHING or it was going to get weird. I thought she was going to be Damsel in Distress but then she escaped the monster's clutches on her own and then did some dark magic. Rock on sistah!
More of her lies uncovered - OUCH. Then her interaction with Abraham/Horseman was kinda deep because... is she lying again? Did he make her feel something for him? She always knows more/is more than what she lets on. So that's good.
2 - Jenny and Holly to have history and chemistry. YAY! They gave that to me and it was super-sexy Jenny time! Now I'm more interested in this. Holly being the random "I have the one thing that will kill the Monster of the Week" is a really lazy bit of storytelling. But if he and Jenny have history and the team includes both of them... I am on board.
3 - Abbie and Ichabod snarking each other up and being sexy-caring. Still my favorite part of the show. Ichabod's fangirl was adorbs, and his "dedication to reenactment" was a hilarious touch. And it explains the clothes, kind of. Abbie was his rock-solid gal pal, listening to his historical tale of women woes and his more modern take on the new reality of marriage:
"Marriage is difficult on the best day. But without trust, without honesty, how can a union between two people hope to survive?" -Ichabod Crane
It's like they wrote this episode for ME.
