Hehe, you sound like i felt when I realized that among my professional historian clothes I have all the makings for a Olivia Dunham costume (black suit, white blouse, sensable black shoes, grey scarf black trench, black gloves). All I'll need to do is dye my hair blond.

Dawn says I need a fake badge but my feeling is that any fake that wouldn't be illegal wouldn't look real.

You should go for an X-Files badge - they still look official but they're not 'real' enough to get you arrested, I've gathered. But I completely understand the desire to be as canon as possible - that's the reason I haven't worn my SG-1 costume to anything in a while. I still need to get the right jacket and battlevest, but both are so far out of my price range that it's not going to happen for a while yet.
