I'm of an age where most of my RL friends have either died or fell out of touch due to their own ages and geographical distance. The friends I have now are mostly chat friends. Yet there's still a bit of commonality between physical interaction at, say, a coffee shop or a park, and a chat room. There's the "Oh forget I said that about..." over coffee and the misdirected PMs in a chat room. After a while, one wonders just what, exactly, is driving that person, or persons, to behave the way they do.

"I simply can't STAND the way he, she, they ::fill in the blank::"
"I shudder each time he, she, they come into the room." Then... "Oh Hi! Can we play/talk?"

In room or in real life, it goes on and on and on. I like the people I chat with for the most part. I do my best to keep my opinions of others to myself. However, when it comes to mixing chocolate with charred beefsteak, all bets are off.
