I'm so torn. Do I continue to attend, amass even more debt, and realize my dream of getting my LCSW? Or do I quit now, save myself the huge debt, and cut my losses? There's no doubt my schooling is difficult, time consuming, and expensive. But I feel like it is my one shot to do it right. I'm at a crossroads with it. How far along are you?

I'm a huge fan of "educaton is never a waste," but when it comes at the expense of saving for retirement or for Ama's education or... I don't know.

Will the LCSW bring a raise or larger job opportunities?

Probably not at the county, but it would open up a lot of other opportunities. I'be reached the ceiling in my profession in terms of pay and advancement. But is it worth the expense? I don't know. I'm going to talk to my lender today and make some decisions.

I agree with K. And talking to your lender. You just have to balance what this might mean for the future in both directions. I love and support you either way.
