Happiness indeed. Mind you, I now have to work out where I saved the blasted client and put in a shortcut to it, but at least it works!!

With the client you can modify your old post, rather than double-posting. You can do the same thing within LJ--go up to your user page, or anywhere you can see the menu bar at the top of the page. Click on manage, and entries, and then select view most recent entry. You should be able to add to your post that way.
