See ya, 2012!
Less than 4 hours until 2013!
Another year has passed and I feel like this has been a better year for me compared to the past few years.
I feel like I'm ending 2012 on a positive note despite the many negative things that have happened.
Here are the FIRSTS I went through in 2012~!
This year also brought a lot of hardships where I live and to my family. There's actually been quite a lot of terrible accidents and crimes going on around my area, which I guess I only come to hear about because my coworkers like gossiping. I know of at least 5 coworkers who have personally known people who died this year. Also, Hurricane/Super Storm Sandy devastated a lot of areas especially the tri-state area of the north east. My family seemed to have been spared a lot since we only lost cable connection for not even 2 days only. My grandfather, the father of my dad, died this past September as well. My grandfather raised me and my siblings until he retired back to the Philippines where he suffered a stroke in 2009 and his body has been failing him since. So, while I was devastated to have lost such an important person in my life, I'm relieved to know that he's no longer suffering. The death of my grandfather also ceased the celebrations of my parents' 25th wedding anniversary. They wanted to celebrate in the Philippines for Christmas however all our funds were put into the travel and funeral costs for my grandfather. We also have a family member suffering from some emotional issues that we hope on working out together in 2013 for the better.
However, I feel like the good of 2012 outweighs the bad. I was happy to learn of many additions to the family and for friends with new little babies toddling around. It's making me feel older too. I feel like I've finally been able to feel a bit more like an adult in 2012. Getting a real job really helped and I was able to relax a little. The trip I took in Japan this past summer really made what 2012 was about for me and i really hope to do it again in 2013.

This will be my last post in 2012 as well as my last post in this LJ account.
I will be moving to my new account puricoffee starting for the new year. Sorry if many of you already have several accounts from me but I've felt like getting a change. 2012 was a good year and i was disappointed in not making as many posts as I should have to look back on. I want to change that for 2013. I hope many of you guys will add me there! I really want to keep and make lots of my friends there!
