COSTUME SIGHTING!!!
Oh, wait... That's usagi_sern... At SoyCon this past weekend. I suppose she was here when it went missing. >.> And I guess I did assemble it for her to use. As well as help her make the boot covers. We finally made some for me too! So I can finally were this costume and classic without complaining the entire time about how much me feet hurt!
Ok, so a few days ago I made a post about a stolen costume. Now, I wrote it trying to be as sarcastic and satirical as I could, however, a few people might have believed me a little too well. And one person who knew it was a joke but only after calling me, abused the fact that they knew my password and deleted the entry. I've already dealt with that, but to anyone who truly believed the story, please re-read it and I hope you see the far-fetched aspects of the account that I provided. I sincerely apologize if I genuinely had you worried. This was intended to be completely light hearted and humorous, but with it taking longer than anticipated to get pictures combined with a couple of over reactions, I guess some of the humor got lost.
COSPLAYERS BEWARE!!!
I was working down in the basement tonight, when I heard a strange commotion. I come upstairs, and noticed things didn't quite look right upstairs (second floor) where my room is, so I went up there, and noticed my cosplay stuff was disheveled, and worst of all, my Super Sailor Moon costume and it's accessories were missing! They even took the odango shields off my wig!* I frantically ran about to try and figure out what happened, when I looked outside and saw this!
I know, I know, the picture sucks, but I took it as quickly as I could! All I could see what the culprit quickly tossing my baby into their car, the rush to speed away!
So, please, if you see my costume, let me know! I may not have worn it since Youmacon, and may not be planning to again for awhile yet, but it's still one of my favorite costumes! And I want to wear it again one day! Also, please, don't hesitate to place any blame on this heinous crime! The culprit must be stopped before more atrocities like this can occur! No cosplayer should have to deal with the trauma of one of their favorite costumes being taken out from the safety of their own home! How the culprit found where I live I still don't know...
By the way, that picture: Obviously staged. It was intentionally taken with no flash, resized to be really tiny, and "enhanced" with Photobucket's tools. There's actually a spiral over Dani's face if you really look closely. That would be amazing photography if I managed to really capture a spiral over the face. And the line before the *, come on! That implies that they left the wig! That sucker took just as much time to make and close to as much money as the costume itself! Seriously, the scenario I provided really is quite ridiculous... Thank you to those that called BS. Cause that's entirely what it was. And to those that believed me, I truly apologize again for any concerns you may have had.
