This is actually a real quote from my textbook "the globalization of world politics":

"The post-1945 system of regulatory regimes and institutions has been successful in part due to the fact that they exist"

lol...that's funny.

I took a race and ethnicity class this semester...and the basic explanation for why racism still exists is simply because it has existed for the last 200+ years. Did I need a whole class to tell me this? Probably not, but the prof was really cool!

I've found that a lot of my reading material is stuff that I can figure out myself. Which sucks when you read it, because then you just spent one hour of precious study time on something you could have just guessed when the final came.

I wonder how good of a grade i would get, however, if I put that whatever is asked about is effective because it exists. I mean, it's a quite universal explanation. :p
