Work is eating my face, but I managed to get to the library the other day and put in a request for some books.  I recently read Rosemary & Rue by Seanan McGuire and Underground by Kat Richardson, and really enjoyed them both.  I think I'm pretty well hooked on the urban fantasy genre for the moment.  I have these books coming in:

If you're reading urban fantasy, pick up Dreams Underfoot by Charles de Lint, War for the Oaks by someone I don't remember, and Spiral Hunt, also by someone I don't remember. :) And then pick up more de Lint!

Nice! I needed some new areas to explore in, and it's hard to find decent books. (Incidentally, have you read Saintcrow at all - is she any good? Lines seems to be evenly split on "writes with a pen filled with manna" to "takes her plots off Fanfiction and then wrecks it".)

I tried the 1st Alera book, by the way, and just could not get into it. It seemed to lack everything that the Dresden books had. Maybe I like my books more humorous right now? *shrug*
