...Does it have to do with the little glass balls that were all over my tent this morning? I guess that could just be the Hibou being strange, though.

That's true! Maybe it's what they do instead of oshougatsu...but then how do they tell when the year's over?

No, it's Japanese too, but it came from America... the west.

They're a bunch of different colors, with metal things on top. I found them stuck all over the straw on the outside of my teepee...some of them have pictures on them.

Yeah, it's originally Western. But a lot of places celebrate it. I guess we might here too... if there's enough interest.

Those would probably be Christmas ornaments. They're supposed to go on a tree, but I guess someone's trying to liven up your tepee huh?
