So what's this holiday everyone keeps talking about? Some kind of Western thing, I guess...

...Does it have to do with the little glass balls that were all over my tent this morning? I guess that could just be the Hibou being strange, though.

never met gaijin before sieben, christmas is whut now?, hibou redecoration, sano explores the boundaries of clueless, festival?

I'm not to certain myself, but it sure seems festive!

That's true! Maybe it's what they do instead of oshougatsu...but then how do they tell when the year's over?

Well, yeah, but the New Year is at the end of those. Do they still have the New Year?

No, it's Japanese too, but it came from America... the west.

What kind of glass balls?

...So, is it Western or not?

They're a bunch of different colors, with metal things on top. I found them stuck all over the straw on the outside of my teepee...some of them have pictures on them.

Yeah, it's originally Western. But a lot of places celebrate it. I guess we might here too... if there's enough interest.

Those would probably be Christmas ornaments. They're supposed to go on a tree, but I guess someone's trying to liven up your tepee huh?

Oh, I see...

Haha, I guess so! I wonder if there'll be more decorations later...
