i haven't heard anyone make fun of him, but i do hear criticism of the extremely graphic scenes involving torture n junk.

yeah, but you know, that's what happened. it's not even the fact that it's Jesus. it's the fact that he tried to do something he believed in and got made fun of for it (south park and family guy and so on). but yeah. whatevah.

I know what you mean Lauren, my mom refuses to see it. It was pretty good though. The torture scene was like too real though. ::shudder:: Good movie though.

yeah i don't want to see it either. i have my own view of Jesus and i'm afraid that seeing the movie might put a different idea in my head and i won't be as comfortable as i am. that and i don't like gore.

people make fun of what scares them. compared to what they really did to jesus that was just a watered down version

seriously - i'm not looking to offend but - do you think that jesus (who i think of as a martyr - as the jews thought of him or a rebel as the romans thought) was the only one who ever suffered like that? people have always done disgusting and horrible things to eachother, it's just that not everyone had some new doctrine to spread.
