She started getting really congested last Saturday, and then was throwing up from the coughing. Mike had bronchitis the week before, so we figured she might have the same thing and needed to go in for possible antibiotics. When we got to the doctor's office, she was breathing way too fast and the doctor was really concerned about her. Off to the hospital to x-ray her lungs and take tests. The x-rays seemed to indicate that she had pneumonia! And the oxygen saturation tests showed that she wasn't getting enough oxygen from room air. So they admitted her and gave her steroids and antibiotics and had her under oxygen. The next day she still wasn't better, which the doctor expected she should have improved dramatically. So she was transferred to Blank Children's Hospital in Des Moines. They decided she didn't have pneumonia but instead had bronchialitis (which is viral). They did a lot of suctioning of her lungs and she did well enough to get off oxygen. She's home now and doing great! We just have to make sure to suction her
