On people and Hebrew diacritics
I have started to run the Hebrew part of my MA experiment, in which the participants basically have to read sentences from the page. One of the words they see has diacritics, which marks the vowels of Hebrew, since the writing represents (more or less) only consonants. I have stumbled upon an LJ community in which among the other activities, new members are stamped according to their personalities. Upon joining the community, they have to fill a form and if they are accepted, they are allowed to post in the community. I saw "Sweeney Todd" and I'd like to talk about that.
First of all, I liked it. I liked it both as a movie and as a musical, meaning that I found the music to be good as well. Several pieces of it are replaying themselves in my head. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the movie won Golden Globe for best movie and best actor. In sum, I do recommend it. Its director is Tim Burton, so the movie' ( Read more... ) -
