Good lord. That sort of thing is always terrifying--both in the moment and afterwards. I'm glad he eventually left, though. Sounds like he had a lot of issues that had nothing to do with you. :(
Yeah... I'm glad it didn't escalate into something more serious. It definitely was shocking... Like you said, he obviously had some rage issues.... but I'm like, don't transfer your baggage and history onto me. I don't know your life! ;)
Unless I'm mistaken, pedestrians always have the right-of-way even when they're not in a cross walk. Sounds like that biker didn't know the rules of the road (which are the same as those for motor vehicle drivers) and was being a tad overly defensive (i.e. an asshole). He should have just let it slide instead of proving your point.
Exactly! That's what I thought too... That even if pedestrians are in the street, we have the right-of-way. You'd also think if you're biking in and through Georgetown, you'd anticipate a lot of pedestrians... HELLO!? It's GEORGETOWN... on a Sunday afternoon....
Girl! That stresses me out! My adreleine is pumping just reading about it! I have no idea what I would do if that happened to me. I hate confrontation like that and would much rather "flight than fight." It's days like this I wish I was a big, butch, bull dyke and could just take some jerk like that out!
