You don't have to refile back years unless you want to, and you think it saves you enough money to be worth the hassle.

We have run the numbers waiting for the worksheets and it acutally looks like it will end up saving us a bit of money. And if that's the case, we'll go back and file amended returns for the last three years too. Nice that while the feds don't recognize our marriage, exactly, we'll end up making out much better than we would have if they had just left things along.

I need to find the button/icon maker, our 10 years is soon to be 12, and I need to update it.
